Dragon Boat Race 2012

Yesterday I had a great opportunity to be a part of the Dragon Boat Race at Market Commons yesterday. The Dragon Boat Race helps to brings funds and awareness to several local charity groups. Our boat had two opportunities to race for the best time and we came in third place both times we raced. Although we did not make it to the finals we all were winners because we each conquered fears, had fun and raised money for a good cause. Market Common is a shopping area unlike no other where many of our Vacation Myrtle Beach Card Partner restaurants and shopping outlets are located. There is a beautiful lake where we raced that had a nice walking track around the lake which measures exactly a mile if you are looking for a great way to stay fit while on vacation! If you ever have an opportunity to compete in a dragon boat race....I highly recommend it!
