Memories

Our family did not know what to do that year for vacation. Although summers are hot in ct, the water in Long Island Sound is cold and there are no real waves. A friend of ours had been to SeaWatch Resort the year before and guaranteed we would love it. So we made reservations and booked a flight. From the moment we landed, we knew it would be the best vacation ever! It was also a quick 20 minute ride from the airport. As we turned the corner we saw the huge two towers. Our hearts raced with excitement. I looked at my husband and son and they were grinning from ear to ear. We could hardly contain ourselves as we were checking in. We got the Royal Treatment right from the start. Our rooms were awesome. You could see the  blue ocean for miles.The smell of salt air, the crashing of the waves and people smiling everywhere. We  quickly checked-in and made our way to the beach. We were delighted the beach was steps from our room.  We only brought a couple of towels and  our boogie boards. For the next few hours the Warm blue ocean became our Amusement park. Wave after wave was music to our ears. There we were standing in the water waiting for the "big ones" that would send us and our boogie boards on the wonderful ride. That was our first hours and being at SeaWatch Resort. Each day kept on getting better and better. We enjoyed pina coladas with our SeaWatch souvenir mug while relaxing at the tiki bar. Some days they had pool parties with music and pool games. That was a blast. Everyday we enjoyed a big breakfast made to order, omelet or waffles. We also loved relaxing in a tube on the lazy river, swimming in the pool or just taking a hot tub.  At night time, we sat on the balcony. It was an amazing sight the many pools, hot tubs and lazy river were aglow with lights. When we went to bed we left the door slightly open so we could hear the crashing waves. Some nights we went on the beach to catch minnows by flashlight. We also found a Shark Tooth on the beach and my son made a necklace out of it. We found SEAWATCH RESORT to be top notch in every way. Housekeeping cleaned our rooms everyday. She was very nice and friendly. Everything about our experience was great. All the staff was helpful and friendly. They gave us great advice about places to eat, like Greg Norman restaurant, or things to do, like the water park and the Aquarium. We also got a free towel and a small cooler. We were sad the day we left and wished we could have stayed longer. We want  to go back to SeaWatch Resort again to have another great vacation.  The Rippel Family
