The Local Tourist Strikes again

As I began my 4th of July celebration weekend I had the great joy of having my Mom visit from NC. We started out Saturday  by going to the beach and lying in the sun, soaking up the rays, listening to the waves and watching children play in the sand. After a few hours of relaxing on the beach, we went home and got ready for a night on the town. We started at Captain George’s restaurant for their wonderful buffet filled with the best seafood in town. Of course I had my fill of crab legs, prime rib, and stuffed mushrooms while my Mom enjoyed all the fish and shrimp. They have so many different items to choose from you will have a hard time walking out of there because you will have eaten too much as we did. We slowly went to the car and off shopping we went. We looked around at a few local beach wear shops and visited Broadway at the Beach. Before we knew it, it was time to hit the road again, this time heading to Carolina Opry. Upon arrival we got our tickets for the show and headed in to be seated. As we entered the theater we had the pleasure of having our picture taken with two of the tap dancers with “All That”. I have to admit they are my favorite part of the show. I love to watch them tap dance and all 4 of them are so very nice.  As we sat and watched the show I couldn’t help but to watch my Mom. She was laughing so hard and at one point in the show she had tears running down her face. She was clapping her hands and singing along with the show. After the show was over the guys from “All That” autographed the picture we had made before the show.  My heart was filled with love and joy that I could be a part of such a great memory.
