After an exciting premier in 2008, Hard Rock Park has announced that they will be closing their gates early for 2008 as sales were less than expected due to a variety of factors, including that the current state of the economy had severely restricted the amount of disposable income that Myrtle Beach visitors were able to spend.  The park was expected to close in December, and will close just over two months early.

Hard Rock Park officials have announced that the park is expected to reopen in the spring of 2009 for a second season.  We expect to continue with updates on the state of the park as they occur.

As we continue to offer the best savings for our guests, we have worked out an arrangement for all guests of Sea Watch Resort to save a whopping 20% off of the gate entry prices!

Now you can brave the Led Zeppelin roller coaster, race in the Eagles' Life in the Fast Lane roller coaster, take a wild London Cab Ride and so much more for an awesome value.  Did we mention all of the great entertainment offered at the park that is included with your ticket?  There are a variety shows and other entertainment running throughout the day such as Malibu Beach Party, the Roadies Stunt Show and a variety of other thrilling acts.

And don't forget, as a guest of Sea Watch Resort, you will have access to the park a half hour before the general public - the same general public that will be paying more for their tickets than you!

Well we have been waiting for this moment for a few years now and it's finally here....Hard Rock Park is open for business!  Now the park isn't completely done yet - that will actually be May 9 when the Park "officially" opens, but they are currently open with about 80% of the park fully operational, including the already famous Led Zeppelin - The Ride roller coaster.  Initial reports on the coaster range from "Totally awesome, dude!" to "I'm just happy I made it out alive!".

After breaking ground one year ago, Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach, SC is about to kick open its doors and make history.  The world's first and only rock 'n' roll theme park announced today its Grand Opening Extravaganza on June 2, including an exclusive two-day celebration featuring concerts and a star-studded celebrity golf tournament hosted by PGA TOUR professional Peter Jacobsen.

Grand Opening Extravaganza

Hard Rock Park's Grand Opening Extravaganza festivities will commence on Monday, June 2 with an extraordinary, grand opening ceremony at the massive iron gates to the rock 'n' roll oasis featuring a concert performance by the Eagles. The following day, the renowned British rock band, The Moody Blues, will commemorate the official opening of the park's psychedelic, Moody Blues-inspired dark ride, Nights in White Satin - The Trip, followed by an exclusive live performance.

We are proud to announce that our resort has been named as an Official Preferred Accommodations Partner of the new Hard Rock Park, which is set to officially open on May 9th.  As an Official Preferred Accommodations Partner, we are excited to be able to offer our guests some exciting benefits to the incredible new amusement park.  Tickets will be hard to come by, and with attendance to Hard Rock Park expected to be in the thousands each day, you will be able to buy your tickets right here at our resort to avoid the long lines at the Park.  And once you buy your tickets, you will be allowed to enter the All Access area of the Park one half hour before the daily opening of the Park.

We knew that Hard Rock Park was bringing a bigger than life music experience, but weren't sure they were taking it to such literal levels!

NIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN - THE TRIP

Transforming the dark ride will be The Moody Blues - "Nights in White Satin - The Trip." A mind-bending journey choreographed to a special version of the rock masterpiece "Nights in White Satin." The hit will be masterfully re-orchestrated specifically for Hard Rock Park by Justin Hayward, who originally wrote and composed the song more than 40 years ago.
