On Wednesday night we decided to take in a movie which we have not done in many, many, many years. We had the chance to watch the Transformers 3 movie in 3D at the IMAX theater located at Broadway at the Beach. Before we arrived, I kept remembering those awful funny looking cardboard 3D glasses they used to hand out when ever the local theater would have a 3D movie. I was a little skeptical about how well the movie would be in 3D. We arrived to the IMAX with just moments to spare. We purchased our tickets and entered the building. As we went upstairs to get our seats, we noticed they had a very nice concession stand that offered drinks, hot dogs, pop corn and chips- the normal theater snacks. With no time to spare we choose to go locate our seats. We came upon a staff member who was in charge of handing out the 3D glasses. Much to my surprise they were now plastic - still big but much better fitting then what we had years ago.
The movie started just as we found our seats. Pleasantly surprised the movie and its graphics in 3D were GREAT! It was definitely a hit for us. We are actually looking forward to the next movie at the IMAX theater. Hopefully it will be as action packed as Transformers 3.
If you want something different to do while your in town, check it out!

As I began my 4th of July celebration weekend I had the great joy of having my Mom visit from NC. We started out Saturday by going to the beach and lying in the sun, soaking up the rays, listening to the waves and watching children play in the sand. After a few hours of relaxing on the beach, we went home and got ready for a night on the town. We started at Captain George’s restaurant for their wonderful buffet filled with the best seafood in town. Of course I had my fill of crab legs, prime rib, and stuffed mushrooms while my Mom enjoyed all the fish and shrimp. They have so many different items to choose from you will have a hard time walking out of there because you will have eaten too much as we did. We slowly went to the car and off shopping we went. We looked around at a few local beach wear shops and visited Broadway at the Beach. Before we knew it, it was time to hit the road again, this time heading to Carolina Opry. Upon arrival we got our tickets for the show and headed in to be seated. As we entered the theater we had the pleasure of having our picture taken with two of the tap dancers with “All That”. I have to admit they are my favorite part of the show. I love to watch them tap dance and all 4 of them are so very nice. As we sat and watched the show I couldn’t help but to watch my Mom. She was laughing so hard and at one point in the show she had tears running down her face. She was clapping her hands and singing along with the show. After the show was over the guys from “All That” autographed the picture we had made before the show. My heart was filled with love and joy that I could be a part of such a great memory.

This past weekend for the 4th of July we had a great time. The DJ entertained our guests, we had a cook out and there was a fundraiser - Scoops for Cancer. Myrtle Beach had many places where guests and locals could go and watch the firework displays and the weather was fantastic!
Today Sea Watch Resort had an unexpected visitor - It was Sharkee from Ripley's Aquarium located at Broadway at the Beach. Sharkee was great, before he left property he took a few pictures with our staff and guests.
See You never know who will visit us at Sea Watch Resort. Will you be next?
